1.Who we are

LineSportsNews publishes sports news, expert tipster picks, and AI-assisted match analysis. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, and what control you have over it.

2.Data we collect

• Account details you give us: your name, email address, and password (stored only as a one-way hash — we never see or store your actual password).
• Profile content you choose to add: a bio and a profile photo.
• Subscription and payment records: which plan you bought, when it starts and expires, and the payment reference. Card and M-Pesa details are entered inside our payment provider's checkout and are never stored on our servers.
• Usage data: pages viewed, tips saved, tipsters followed, and similar activity needed to make the product work.
• Technical data your browser sends automatically, such as IP address and device type, used for security and troubleshooting.

3.How we use it

• To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
• To deliver the predictions, alerts, and premium features you have subscribed to.
• To process payments and confirm subscription status.
• To respond to your messages and support requests.
• To understand which content is read so we can publish more of what is useful.

4.Payments

Subscription payments are handled by our payment provider inside their own hosted checkout. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, the amount, and a reference — not your card number, PIN, or M-Pesa credentials.

5.Cookies and local storage

We use browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember preferences such as your light or dark theme choice and your saved predictions. Clearing your browser storage will sign you out and reset those preferences.

6.Sharing your data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers needed to run the site — our hosting provider, our payment provider, and our email provider — and only to the extent they need it to deliver that service.

We may also disclose data where we are legally required to do so.

7.Your rights

You can access and update most of your details from your dashboard profile at any time. You can also ask us to correct or delete your personal data, or to send you a copy of it.

Under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019, you have the right to be informed about how your data is used, to access it, to have it corrected or erased, and to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise any of these rights.

8.Retention and security

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active, and payment records for as long as required for accounting and tax purposes. Passwords are hashed, and traffic to the site is encrypted in transit.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach ever affects your data, we will tell you and the relevant authority as required by law.

9.Children

This site is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

10.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. The date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent substantive update.
