Match Week 5 has been nothing short of exciting, with spectacular fixtures witnessed across the league. Unbeaten runs were brought to an end, while some teams finally registered their first wins of the season.

The action kicked off with the Ingo Derby, pitting AFC Leopards against Kakamega Homeboyz at Wanguru Stadium. Coming into the game, pressure was mounting on Fred Ambani's Ingwe technical bench following three draws in their opening four matches. On the other hand, Edward Manoah's Homeboyz were seeking a bounce-back after suffering a home defeat to Gor Mahia.

The highly competitive encounter was settled by a brilliant Emmanuel Lwangu header at the stroke of halftime before James Kinyanjui tapped in an Adama Kanteh cross to seal the victory and take all three points to the Den.

At Awendo Green Stadium, it was a moment of delight for the home side, Migori Youth, as they registered their maiden win of the season, edging Mombasa United 2-0. Philemon Nyakwaka and Fredrick Odhiambo were on target for Salim Babu's side, taking them up to six points.

The spoils were shared between APS Bomet and Murang'a Seal following a goalless draw at Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay.

In the capital, Nairobi United played out a draw against Bandari, with the pressure on head coach Patrick Aussems continuing to mount. The Dockers took an early lead through Said Tsuma before Mark Kithome equalized for the Naibois, salvaging a point.

The first day of action closed with a fierce encounter between Gor Mahia and Robert Matano's KCB. The bankers drew first blood through Assis Mambote in the 20th minute before Richard Omondi doubled their lead 13 minutes later. Alpha Onyango pulled one back from the spot, but the bankers proved too strong for the defending champions, handing Sirkal their first loss of the season.

Monday's action kicked off on a positive note for the Defence Forces as Mulinge Ndeto's Ulinzi Stars triumphed over the Slum Boyz, Mathare United, by a 2-1 scoreline. Eli Asieche opened the scoring before Joseph Mwangi equalized for Mathare United. Leon Livet's 72nd-minute strike proved decisive, grabbing all three points for Ulinzi Stars.

Just nearby, at Police Sacco Stadium, a similar scoreline was witnessed as 3KFC completed a remarkable comeback to defeat Posta Rangers. Mark Shaban gave the Mailmen the lead early in the second half before Sally Yipoh's thunderous strike brought 3KFC level. Captain Dante Wabwire's header proved decisive as the newcomers walked away with all three points.

The third match of the day saw the brewers, Tusker FC, cruise past the millers, Mara Sugar, with a 3-1 victory. Goals from Fabian Adikiny and Eric Kapaito, alongside own goals at both ends, sealed the action at St. Sebastian Park. The win takes Tusker back to winning ways following their defeat to Mathare United in their previous outing.

The Match Week action concluded with a blockbuster at Afraha Stadium, where the Glamour Boys, Shabana, faced the law enforcers, Police FC. A tightly contested encounter was decided by a spectacular Brian Chonjo finish in the first half.

The victory marked a second consecutive win for the law enforcers under Anthony Akhulia and handed Shabana tactician Ahmed Fathi his first defeat.

Standings as at 2ND November 2026.
