The second clash of the day saw Mathare united take on the Tusker FC. The slum boyz were in pursuit of a maiden win of the season while the brewers were seeking to right the wrongs after a painful exit from the CAF Confederation cup in the Hands of Singida Black stars. The Slum Boyz got a first goal in the 30th minute through Joshua Nyatini before Michael Oduor doubled the advantage heading into the break. Fabian Adikiny pulled a goal back for the brewers in the first minutes of the second half shortly before Mathare were reduced to ten men following the second booking of Michael mutinda . The slum boyz held their nerves to pull through and earn their first win under Coach David Ouma.
Curtains closed on the game week with the ever entertaining Forces derby between Kenya Police FC and Ulinzi stars. The 2024/2025 season winners Police FC were under pressure following a difficult start to the season of two draws and one defeat that saw them part ways with Head Coach Nicholas Muyoti. The Defence forces on the other hand were in pursuit of a win following an equally difficult start to the season. The fairly balanced game was settled with a moment of brilliance from Victor Haki that set up Elvis Rupia for the lone goal of the derby. It is a huge relief for the law enforcers and Anthony Akhulia but for Ulinzi Stars the wait for a win continues.
